This is my Favorite Sewing Machine - What's Yours?
I've been asked on many occasions what type of sewing machine I used to piece my quilts. Well I figured it was time to show you. This pre-WWII Singer featherweight was fully restored and painted a blush pink. Strawberry Shortcake (as my daughter calls her) sews beautifully forward and backward making a reliable 1/4" stitch everytime! Now it's your turn....... What type of sewing machine do you use for quilting and sewing projects? Do you have more than one sewing machine? Is there a fun story about your favorite sewing machine that you'd like to share with me and all the quilters that read our blog? Was your sewing machine handed down from your mother or perhaps your grandmother? Have you given your sewing machine a name? I'd love to hear from you and of course, pictures are always welcome! If you have a picture of your sewing machine that you'd like to share, please upload your images to Flickr. For all the ladies that leave a comment regarding this blog, there will be a drawing for a $25 Shabby Fabrics gift certificate at the end of August!
